Svara Privacy Policy
Updated
Svara plays music from a music server you choose. This policy explains what information the app uses and your choices. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Your music server
Svara sends your sign-in details and music requests to the server you connect. These requests include browsing, searching, streaming, and downloading music. When you use them, favorites, ratings, playlists, listening history, library choices, and invitations may also be sent to that server. The server operator decides how it handles this information. Svara does not host your music library.
Information on your device
Svara keeps the details needed to reconnect to your music server, your preferences, downloaded music and artwork, and changes waiting to sync. If you use a paired watch or car display, Svara shares the playback information needed to show and control music there.
Signing out clears saved connection details from that device. It may not remove downloads or changes waiting to sync. You can remove downloads in Svara. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, though copies may remain in device backups.
Usage and error reports
We use reports about how Svara is used and where it fails to improve the app. These may include screens and features used, your artwork style, a playlist count, app and device type or version, use on a watch or in a car, and errors or crashes. Reports may be associated with the same music account across visits and devices so we can measure active use.
Routine usage reports do not include your music, artwork, song or playlist names or IDs, search terms, server address, username, or password. Crash reports may contain additional technical details about the device and the problem, including error messages.
Who receives information
Your chosen music server receives your account and music requests. Service providers help us process usage and error reports and support messages; they may also receive basic connection information when those reports are sent. We do not share usage reports with advertisers.
Your choices and data retention
Information kept on your device remains until you remove it or delete the app, subject to backups. Your music server operator controls information held on that server. We keep usage and error reports while needed to maintain and improve Svara.
To ask about reports associated with your account or request access or deletion, email [email protected]. We may need the music server address and username you use in Svara to find those reports. Please never send us your password. For information held on your music server, contact its operator.
Children and policy changes
Svara is not intended for children under 13. We may update this policy as the app changes and will revise the date at the top of this page. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
